The PA State 10-11 Little League Baseball Tourney is H-O-T

PLYMOUTH TWP., PA

The first pitch of the 2015 Pennsylvania State Little League 10-11 Baseball Tournament was thrown at 9:56 AM on Friday, July 31st. While the last pitch won't be tossed until either Wednesday or Thursday night, the action that has been witnessed thus far has been nothing short of FANTASTIC.

Last night, in quarterfinal-round play, two unbeatens - Warwick (PA Section 5) LL and Upper Providence (PA Section 8) LL played a 2 1/2 slugfest, ending with a Warwick 10-9 victory in 8 innings.

Jake Books hit two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry Upper Providence All-Stars to a win on Monday, as Upper Providence  fell to Warwick All-Stars 10-9 at Plymouth LL in eight innings.
Jake racked up seven RBIs on three hits for Upper Providence All-Stars. He singled in the fourth inning and homered in the first and eighth innings.
Each team blasted the other's pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 24 hits during the game. There were seven pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
Warwick All-Stars pulled out the win thanks to a strong eighth inning. Warwick went up for good on an RBI single by Robby Porco off Jack Eshleman, bringing homeLuke Sydlowski.
Warwick staved off Upper Providence All-Stars as Upper Providence was unable to match them down the stretch.
Upper Providence All-Stars scored three runs in the eighth on a three-run home run by Jake. Despite its efforts, Upper Providence couldn't finish the comeback.
Robby got the win in relief for PA State 10-11 Baseball Warwick All-Stars. Robby pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed three runs.
Pat KerriganMatt Boyce and Robby helped lead Warwick All-Stars. They combined for eight hits and seven RBIs.
Jack couldn't get it done on the hill for Upper Providence All-Stars, taking a loss. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
Warwick All-Stars won even though Luke didn't have his pitches working. Luke was replaced after 1 1/3 innings. Luke gave up five hits and four runs.
Warwick All-Stars jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first. Matt started the rally for Warwick with a single. A single by Aidan Quinn then moved Matt from first to third.
PA State 10-11 Baseball Upper Providence All-Stars answered PA State 10-11 Baseball Warwick All-Stars' top inning with three runs of its own in the first. PA State 10-11 Baseball Upper Providence All-Stars scored on a three-run home run by Jake.
PA State 10-11 Baseball Upper Providence All-Stars pushed one run across in each of the second, fifth and sixth. In the second, PA State 10-11 Baseball Upper Providence All-Stars scored when Jackson Malouf was hit by a pitch, plating Justin Kratz.
The action continues tonight at 7:00 PM at Plymouth Little League, with Upper Providence meeting Avon Grove (Section 7) LL in the semifinals. The winner will play Warwick on Wednesday in the championship round. Remember, this is a double-elimination tournament.
